Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar came into existence on 1 December2010 in pursuance of the Haryana Act No.7 of 2010 notified on 7th April,2010. College of Veterinary Sciences and College of Animal Sciences,Which were earlier the constituent colleges of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University(CCS HAU),Hisar were merged as college of Veterinary Sciences and become the constituent college of the newly established University.The university has 136 faculty members engaged in teching, research and extension.These include 81 Professors,27 Associate Professors and 28 Assistant Professors. The university has a strenght of 580 students in B.V.Sc.&A.H.(314),M.V.Sc.(98),PH.D.(29) AND Diploma(139) Programmers.
